Microsoft has announced that the next Xbox Games Showcase for the Xbox Series X will be coming in July 23. The Game Showcase will stream over multiple digital platforms by 9 am Pacific Time.
The showcase will be different from Microsoft’s May promotional event that focused on third-party launch for the upcoming console. Instead, it will focus on first-party exclusives from Microsoft’s own Xbox Game Studios. The Halo Infinite is likely to be discussed in this event.
According to Microsoft– “We can expect the Xbox Series X to power a new generation of blockbuster games thanks to our 15 Xbox Game Studios teams and the biggest names from our network of game development and publishing studios worldwide”.
What’s more, the Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine and The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment are among the first-party studios.
What’s more, some of the newly acquired acquisitions of Microsoft are among the first-party studios- Like the Psychonauts 2 developer Double Fine which Microsoft acquired in June and The Outer Worlds developer Obsidian Entertainment which Microsoft acquired last November.
In February, The company confirmed that all Xbox Game Studios titles will use Smart Delivery. This is to “ensure that you only pay for a title once to get the best version available for any Xbox console you wish to play on.” In an interview held in January, Matt Booty (head of Xbox Game Studios) explained what that means; there won’t be any true “next-generation” exclusives featured in the Xbox Series X during its first year or two of availability.
